How do I set up my profile step by step

When you first login to the Athlete App you will need to complete a short onboarding flow to create your profile within Hexis.

This onboarding process involves answering some basic questions about you, as well as your lifestyle, meal patterns, workouts and goals. This information is essential for Hexis to tailor and personalise your nutrition recommendations. Given this, please ensure you are as accurate as possible with the information you provide.

This information collected includes:

Biometrics:

  1. Height
  2. Weight
  3. Sex
  4. Date of birth

Lifestyle:

  1. Activity levels
  2. Sleep patterns (wake and sleep time)

Goals:

  1. Body composition goal
  2. Target weight
  3. Current weight

Workouts:

  1. Primary sport
  2. Favourite workouts
  3. Hours per week

Once this information has been provided your profile setup is complete. Please note that if you would like to edit some of this information you can do so from your Profile at a later stage also.

How do I update my Profile information in the Athlete App?

If you have an Athlete subscription you can edit your Profile information in the Athlete App. You can do this by:

  1. Login to the Athlete App.
  2. Click on the Profile icon.
  3. Select the category of information you wish to edit.
  4. Make your desired changes ensuring you select “Save” for each one.

Why is sex important?

Your physiology impacts how your body uses energy. For the most accurate nutrition recommendations you are advised to select the option which best describes your physiology.

What does gain, lose, and maintain mean?

These refer to objectives to lose weight and fat, maintain weight, and and gain weight and build muscle.

Specifically:

Lose: This goal identifies that your objective is to lose weight and/or reduce fat without compromising your performance. The nutritional guidance will aim to introduce a calorie deficit into your Fuel Plan at the most appropriate times of the week to promote fat reduction.

Maintain: This goal identifies that your objective is to keep your maintain your weight whilst optimising your performance. The nutritional guidance will aim to match your energy intake with your energy expenditure on a daily basis.

Gain: This goal identifies that your objective is to gain weight and/or build muscle mass. The nutritional guidance will aim to introduce a calorie surplus to promote weight gain and muscle development.

Please note that if you have a Competition or Key Performance workout then fuelling your performance may at times be prioritised over your body composition goal.

Can I change my Meal Pattern and Timings?

Yes, you can customise your preferred meal pattern and times to align with your personal schedule and eating habits in your Profile at any time.

Why do you need to know my sleep and wake timings?

The rate at which your body burns energy during your sleep is different from that at rest. By understanding when you go to sleep and wake up the Hexis algorithms factor this into your daily personalised nutrition recommendations.
