How can I log my food intake?

To log your food in the Athlete App, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Home screen (main timeline view)
  2. Tap on the meal or snack card you want to log food for on the timeline
  3. Search for the food you wish to log using the search bar
  4. Select the food from the list and amend the quantity and portion size as required before clicking "Add". Note you can also use the "+" button to add items from the list view
  5. Repeat for all the foods you wish to log for this meal/snack
  6. Edit the time to reflect when you consumed your meal/snack if needed
  7. When you make changes, you'll see an "Update This Meal?" dialog - click "Update Meal" to confirm and automatically adjust your remaining daily targets

Alternative: You can also use the "Add" tab in the bottom navigation for quick food logging.

Can I add new foods to Hexis?

Yes, you can create your own foods in the Hexis database. This can be particularly useful to add your most consumed sports foods such as energy gels and sports drinks to your Hexis database.

To add your own food please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to your Home screen (main timeline view)
  2. Tap on the meal or snack card you want to add food to
  3. Click the "My Foods" menu button which is located to right, below the search bar
  4. Select "+Create New Food"
  5. Input the name, portion size and nutrition information of your food
  6. Click "Add"

Please note that once a food is added it will also appear under your "My Foods" section of Food Tracking.

How can I edit a food log?

To edit your food log in the Athlete App, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Home screen (main timeline view)
  2. Tap on the meal or snack card you want to edit
  3. Swipe up on the food log to reveal all items
  4. Edit, delete or add items as required
  5. When you make changes by selecting the double tick in the top right hand corner, you'll see an "Update This Meal?" dialog - click "Update Meal" to save your changes and automatically adjust your remaining daily targets

Note: You can also swipe a meal card on the timeline to quickly edit the time.

How can I delete a food log?

To delete your food log in the Athlete App, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Home screen (main timeline view)
  2. Tap on the meal or snack card you want to delete
  3. Swipe up on the food log to reveal all items
  4. Delete each individual food item by swiping left and selecting delete

Alternative method: You can also swipe the meal card on the timeline to access delete options.

How can I view the food log's calorie and macronutrient data?

To view detailed nutrition information for your food log:

  1. Go to your Home screen (main timeline view)
  2. Tap on the meal or snack card you want to review
  3. Swipe up on the food log and the Kcal, Carbs, Fat, and Protein progress bar from right to left will be visible for additional information

Note: Daily progress indicators for calories, carbohydrates, protein and fat are always visible at the top of your Home screen beneath the calendar.

Does Hexis provide insights into my micronutrient intake?

Yes, Hexis provides comprehensive micronutrient tracking. This feature is accessible from the Hexis desktop. To access please follow the below steps:

  1. Login to your Hexis desktop here
  2. Navigate to your Fuel Plan and select the day you wish to view
  3. Scroll down to the end of your Food Log and view your comprehensive micronutrient tracking and insights

Quick Tips for the New Interface

  • Timeline View: All your meals, snacks and workouts are now displayed on a vertical timeline on your Home screen with timestamps
  • Card Interactions: Simply tap any meal card to open the food logging interface - no need to look for "+" buttons
  • Swipe Gestures: Swipe meal cards left for quick editing and deletion options
  • Smart Updates: When you edit meals, the app automatically adjusts your remaining daily targets to keep you on track
  • Quick Access: Use the "Add" tab in the bottom navigation for fast food logging when you're in a hurry
